Our worship gatherings begin with a blend of contemporary and traditional music where those who attend are invited to sing along, pray, and worship God as they wish. Most people stand, some will raise and/or clap their hands, and others will use their voices to lift up praises and worship to God.
Once the music has finished, we share announcements and ministry updates, and take time to pray for needs that are present in the congregation.
Finally, the lead pastor (or sometimes a guest speaker) will read a selection from the Bible and share insights that will encourage and guide individuals in their spiritual journey with Jesus Christ. There is sometimes an invitation for those who would like prayer or who would like to know more about beginning a relationship with Jesus Christ to come forward at the close of the gathering and speak with the pastoral staff and/or a designated ministry team.
We are a church that welcomes families—you will find that you are not alone if you have young children with you.
When you arrive, you can bring your children downstairs to be checked in for Evangel KIDS, a program consisting of lessons, crafts, snacks, and music designed for school-aged children up to grade 6.
We also offer Evangel KIDS Jr. for your toddlers and infants. The nursery is not staffed and is located downstairs. The nursery is available for children up to age 4.
You will find that both of our bathrooms off the main foyer is equipped for changing toddlers and infants, and you are welcome to use that space or our nursery facilities at any point during the gathering.
You will find a wide varity of dress during our worship gatherings—everything from jeans and a t-shirt to a full suit and tie. There is no dress code at Evangel, so feel free to dress however makes you feel most confortable.
We value serving God, serving one another, and serving the community around us. It is important in our faith journey for each of us to serve with our unique gifts and talents. We are currently working on a pathway to help guide those who attend Evangel into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ (discipleship) and a deeper relationship and involvement with one another (volunteerism). We plan to release more details soon.
In the meantime, if you feel that you are ready to move deeper spiritually and/or deeper with your connection and involvement at Evangel, please speak to one of our church staff and they can assist you in finding a place to serve and/or a way to grow deeper with Christ.
